Once your EL account is setup, a money transfer will take 5 minutes (all done online – available 24hrs a day, 5 days a week). And you get to deal with a customer focused, dedicated, foreign exchange service. I get about the same money using my bank No. The banks can’t get near EL rates (and if they do just watch out for their huge commission). Call your bank for a live foreign exchange rate, and compare to the rates you see here. But setting up an account with EL takes ages I’m not so sure. Complete your name, address, and a few other bits and pieces using their online registration form, and email them a photo of your passport, and recent bank statement showing your home address.
